Cannot start Initial Configuration Wizard

Hello all,

I'm currently in the process of testing an OMIVV deployment. I'm at a stopping point when I try to start the Initial Configuration Wizard. A pop-up is displayed showing:

"An unknown exception has occured and has been logged in the extended logs."

     Severity: CRITICAL

     Error: 2000000

Details: "An unknown exception has occurred and has been logged in the extended logs. If the issue      continues, please restart your appliance. if this does not resolve the issue, please contact Dell Support."

I deployed the OMIVV OVF and configured the initial settings such as the time and network configurations and successfully registered the appliance to vCenter.

When I click on the OpenManage Integration for VMware vCenter within vCenter, all of the modules are grayed out with a continuously spinning circle. It seems that the OMIVV is not able to see anything at the moment. Wanted to reach out to the community if anyone has had this issue. The only next step I'm contemplating is just burning everything down and rebuild in hopes it comes up okay.

vCenter Version: 6.5U3F

ESXi Version: 6.5

OMIVV Version: 5.0

Utilizing self-signed certificate for appliance.

vCenter environment utilizes Embedded PSC.

Dylan,

Thank you for your response! I eventually did call in and was directed to utilize the following KB:

It worked like a charm!

Hi Nick,

The message that you're getting is really a broad catch-all sort of message. Providing assistance without being able to look at the appliance. I wound up talking to an OMIVV specialist, since we don't have a lot to look at here, and his recommendation was to call in (if you have warranty support on the tag in question).

If you want to try to get those extended logs to me, I'm happy to try to help out and see what we can find.
