Error occurred while communicating to Warranty API service
Hi community, since Friday i receive an error by checking the warranty information of my servers, i'm using the version 3.0 and the script is running on ubuntu.
The result from the script:
python /usr/local/nagios/dell/scripts/dellemc_device_check.py --host=1.1.1.1 --devicetype=iDRAC --componentname=warranty --protocol=3 --http.user=ADM --http.password=PWD --http.timeout=45 --http.port=443 --http.retries=1 --logPath=None --warranty.warningDays=None --warranty.criticalDays=None
is:
Error occurred while communicating to Warranty API service X9X9X9X
As there exist no newer version of the dellemc_device_check.py and there are no changes in my infrastructure maybe dell has performed a change of their API?
Anyone else are also receiving this error?

Same issue here. I'm not sure when it started. I have a script running nightly to record warranty info for new devices. Getting a 401: Unauthorized back from https://api.dell.com/support/assetinfo/v4/getassetwarranty/
I'm wondering if it was decommissioned in favor of the APIs at https://developer.dell.com and the change wasn't communicated very well.

It's indeed funny that both products (the warranty check and the dellemc_device_check.py) is developed by Dell, and both departments has problems to communicate with each other. So i will deactivate this service and will have a look in a few month if there are any changes.
Thanks for your update

Just wanted to chime in and also say that we've also been having issues with the warranty check since Friday.
Hopefully we can get a response from someone soon!

Still getting the 401 error here. I'm wondering if my API key was revoked or something.

I have enabled the warranty checks today, and it seems that Dell has fixed it, as the results are correct. But this is just my customer view, as it can happen again that Dell cancel this service again.

I am getting this error while using the dell monitoring plugin for nagios:

It has been happening for over 34 days now.
