"We could not fine any drives, click Load Driver....", when installing Windows 2008 server on poweredge r210 II

I want to test something on my old PowerEdge R210 II.   When I tried to reinstall Windows 2008 Server on this R210 II, I got a message, saying "We could not find any drives.   To get a storage driver, click Load Driver.   Which driver should I download, and where?  Thanks a lot.

I had Windows 2003 Server on this machine before, it was a working machine, even though I did not use it in last two years.

Thanks a lot.

Hello

You can locate drivers on the support page for the server:

www.dell.com/support/home/product-support/product/poweredge-r210-2/drivers

There are multiple controller options available on the R210 II. I don't know which controller you are using or how the system is configured. Windows Server 2008 has SAS drivers that should allow all controllers I can think of to function without needing to install additional drivers.

Most controllers will require that you create a virtual disk before a drive will be presented to the operating system. If you have not created a virtual disk then that may be the reason a drive is not seen. The above link has a section for manuals related to the R210. You can find manuals for our various SAS controllers on this page:

Thanks
