Open Manage Essentials Implementation Question
My question is in regards to setting up a separate Open Manage Essential Console.
To give a snapshot view of the infrastructure environment
We have a public network that internet access and we have a private network that is closed off to the internet.
Both sides of the networks have functioning servers.
We have an Open Manage Essential console setup on the public network that helps us manage all our corporate servers. We are looking to install Open Manage Essential on our private network so that it can manage our private servers.
Questions
1. If we install Open Manage Essential on the private network, will it be able to receive its updates, drivers, etc from the Open Manage Essential console on the public network? (Such as a DMZ setup)
2. If the two Open Manage Essential consoles cannot pass information, will we be able to manually provide the updates, drivers, etc to it, so that it can pass it out to the servers on the private network when needed?

Hello.
OpenManage Essentials(OME) gets the updates directly from updates' repository site and not from another server running OME. May be you can create an exception on then firewall for only OME server to access the repository
This can be possible if you created and stored the updates' repository in a location within the private network. You will then direct or point OME to this local storage to push out updates across the private network.
I hope that this points you to the right direction.
