Wireless connection speed decrease
My wireless connection for me dell xps m140 starts out at 54Mbps at startup, but as time goes by, speed slows down to 48-36-24-16-2-1-2-1 then from there just bounces around. Card is Intel Pro/set wireless 2200bg Router is 2wire 2700

Make sure you have the latest drivrs for the wireless card from Intel. Also, open the Intel ProSet Utility and set the Power Management options to always supply full power. Let us know if these steps solve the problem.

You should always only mess with the router's wireless configuration settings from a computer hard wired to the router. To log in to your router's configuration page, normally you would open a web browser and the type the router's ip address into the address bar. All of this should be covered in your router's user manual.

Have you tried changing the channel that your router uses? You do this by logging into the router's configuration page.

It should be under Wireless settings. Just change the channel to one of the extreme channesl, 1 or 11.

Are the TV boxes connected to the router by wireless? I know nothing about TV boxes, but all computers that connect by wireless will sense the change in channels after a reboot.
