Wifi cuts out

Precision M4700

I have spotty WIFI is cuts out regularly. If you disable and re-enable it works  and the network up time varies some times it's 10 minutes sometimes its 2 hours. I updated the drivers 6 months ago and the problem persists. My workaround is to teether to the network with USB and then the network never drops

If updating the drivers did not solve the issue, there could be a problem with your laptop's WiFi hardware or your home WiFi network. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot:

  1. Check other devices: If other devices in your home are also experiencing connectivity issues, the problem could be with your home WiFi network. Try resetting your WiFi router or contacting your Internet Service Provider.

  2. Check your laptop's WiFi hardware: Make sure your laptop's WiFi hardware is not damaged. You can try using an external USB WiFi adapter to see if the issue persists. If it doesn't, then the issue is likely with your laptop's built-in WiFi hardware.

  3. Disable power saving settings: Your laptop's power saving settings may be causing the WiFi to turn off to conserve battery life. Try disabling power saving settings for your WiFi adapter in Device Manager.

  4. Change the WiFi channel: Other devices in your neighborhood may be using the same WiFi channel, causing interference. You can change the WiFi channel in your router settings to see if it improves connectivity.

  5. Disable Bluetooth: Bluetooth and WiFi can interfere with each other. Try disabling Bluetooth to see if it improves WiFi connectivity.
