XPS 13 7390 2-in-1

XPS 13 7390 2-in-1

Hello. When I start or restart my computer, I get a script error: C:\Users\Public>mshta vbscript:Execute("CreateObject(""WScript.Shell"").Run ""p"+"ow"+"ersh"+"ell -Ex"+"ecuti"+"onPol"+"icy Bypa"+"ss & 'C"+":\Us"+"ers\P"+"ubl"+"ic\msynci"+".ps1'"", 0:close").  I have uninstalled Dell Support and restarted but do not know what else to try.  Thank you for any help someone can provide!

This error message is indicating that a VBScript is attempting to run a PowerShell script (msynci.ps1) with execution policy bypass using the Microsoft HTML Application Host (mshta). The error might be caused by a malicious or unwanted script or software installed on your computer. To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:

  1. Run a full scan of your computer with a trusted antivirus software to remove any malicious scripts or software.

  2. Disable the execution of VBScripts in Internet Explorer: a. Open Internet Explorer b. Click on the Gear icon (Settings) on the top right corner of the screen c. Select Internet options d. Go to the Security tab e. Select the Internet zone f. Click on the Custom level button g. Scroll down to the Scripting section h. Disable the option for "Active scripting"

  3. Remove any unwanted software or scripts installed on your computer recently.

If you still face the issue, you can try reinstalling the operating system on your computer or seek help from a computer technician.
