Problem Acquiring Network Address

Hello,

Sorry if this problem seems to be redundant, because it seems to be a common issue throughout this forum.  This problem started about a week ago, and I am now getting around to trying to fix it.  I have an Ispiron 6400.  Like many people here, I am getting an excellent signal from a wireless network, but my laptop is not able to acquire the network address.  A Mac also uses the same wireless adapter and network, and it works perfectly fine.  I have had no problems ever since I bought this router a few months ago (It's Netgear). This problem just seemed to pop up out of the blue.  I have completely gone through Dell's support steps after I described my problem, which took a number of hours, and at the end it said there was no problem with my wireless card.  I also did the troubleshooting for the adapter, and it turned out to be fine.  Obviously, something is wrong, so I thought a person would be able to help me out.  I have done a system restore, installed the latest drivers, etc. It looks kind of like the issue with the whole ZoneAlarm deal, but I don't have ZoneAlarm.  I use McAfee (I have disabled the firewall).  Here is my IP Config:

Thanks for the help, but it didn't work unfortunately.  I think I should add that my computer connected fine when I connected it to the router via cable.  So the problem is purely wireless.

You are getting a 0.0.0.0 IP address on your wireless connection, so that Microsoft article is addressing that issue.

As a further troubleshooting step, boot your computer into Safe Mode with Network Support and see if the same problem exists with your wireless connection.  Report back what you find.
