MSN is the only Service provider I can get - where is optimum.
I just moved an 2007 dell computer to a new house, We have optimum. I'm connected to the internet and i can't get an internet service provider other than msn for a fee. My HP computers work fine, The dell doesnt even show up on the home network. Help.

Hi Dellhelpsr,
If the system is not able to connect to a network, the issue could be related to the system or the network itself.
Let me know if you have a desktop or a laptop system and the operating system installed on it. Also, is it a wireless network that you are trying to connect to?
If you have a desktop system and you are trying to connect to a wireless network, make sure the system has a wireless card installed. If you use an external wireless adapter, make sure it is plugged in. You may also try connecting the system to the modem directly using a network cable and see if you are able to connect to Internet.
If you have a laptop, make sure the wireless is enabled. On most Dell systems, you can control it using the Fn + F2 keys. You may also go to the Windows Mobility Center by pressing Windows + X key combination and control the wireless from there. You can also try using the system with a network cable.
Check the link below to know how to connect to a wireless network:

Hi Dellhelpsr,
To access the Internet, you have to be connecting to a network. If you want to share the files and folders with the other systems on the network, you will need to create a Homegroup. Check the link below to know more:

If this does not help, describe the issue in detail, so that I can provide the relevant steps.
