How to set up wireless network / ad-hoc?

Hi, I just received my Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG network card today and installed it in my Inspiron 5100. It appears to be working as it can detect my neighbor's wireless network. I am trying to set up my two computers (with the same wireless card)  to be able to share files, printers, and the internet. I believe this would be ad-hoc since I don't have a router or a wireless access point. How would I go about doing this? I have tried the two wizards, "Wireless Network Setup Wizard" and "Network Setup Wizard", on both computers, but it doesn't seem to be working. Could I be doing something wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated, or even a walkthrough (I haven't found any yet).
