Having problems to sync my bluetooth Keyboard since I don't have the passkey

Hi, I got a Dell Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard Mouse Multimedia. I sync'ed my mouse with no problems. However, when I try to sync the keyboard, it askes me for a passkey which I don't have since I got mouse and the keyboard with no software cd or anything else. I'm using my bluetooth installation wizard from my Windows Vista. Is there any way I can get the passkey giving the serial number from the keyboard or any of the information that there is in the back of the mentioned device?

Using a custom passkey of 1111 or 0000 will work usually for generic connections, though when it works properly, the passkey needs to be typed on the keyboard.

Thanks for your help. I already have tried that, but none of them didn't worked. However, I found the solution, when the bluetooth wizard finds the keyboard, don't click "Add". Just right click over the new device found (which is the Dell BT Keyboard) and select properties, then select "Services". After that, just wait for a few seconds until the keyboard and the bluetooth syncs. Then, check where it says Divers for Keyboards, Mice, etc. When I did all that, the installation started and now my keyboard and mouse are working perfectly.

Thanks. By the way, is there anyway to customize the keyboard multimedia buttons and the mouse buttons?

Is there any Dell software for that?

I don't know if this will help anyone, but I just solved this problem in an unexpected way.  I'm using an early Dell Bluetooth keyboard, model Y-RAQ-DEL2, on a new Windows 11 install, so using the latest Win 11 setup.

After a few fails, the interface on the Windows side seemed to change tactics, and was suddenly asking me to type a password in an onscreen field, one which I could not type into by using the Dell keyboard (I had a spare, but one could just use the on-screen keyboard).  At first, I thought this was getting me nowhere: I tried 1111 and 0000 for example.  No connection, each time start again.

Then, I tried simply typing the same code (1111) on the Dell BT Keyboard itself, and voila!  Finished.

It seems I had to type the same code into both Windows AND on the physical Dell keyboard.  I only tried 1111, but I suspect any matching code will work.  Good luck, don't forget numlock.
