What is the full and exact text of the error message?  Does it provide a link on which can click to get an error report?  If so, what is the full and exact text of the error report.  Information like this might help us narrow the problem down to a few possibilities instead of the few hundred thousand you making us guess from now.

Unfortunately, since the error occurred in an unknown module, the error report is not helpful.  Since 99% of the problems with Internet Explorer these days are caused by spyware, do the following:

Download, install, update, and run the free versions of Ad-Aware and Spybot and let these programs remove all of the garbage that they find.

If these programs don't solve the problem, go Here and follow the directions to download and run the analysis tool called HijackThis. Generate a log file, then open it and copy and paste the text of the log file in a message in the HijackThis forum where a HijackThis expert can offer advice on how to fix the problem.

BEST IDEA!!!!
Download firefox
its a browser that is a lot better, it will look ugly so just download skin
its faster than internet explorer, doesnt have many problems and is constantly being updated
http://www.getfirefox.com
or
http://www.firefox.com
Just so u know, a pefect free anti virus is called AVG free, you can download it from http://www.filehippo.com
that could help too, but probably wouldnt cause the problem
