Can't connect via wireless...adapter not working?
1. double checking my wireless was on (via F2)
2. Making sure my power settings were not shutting off wireless
3. Tried updating my IP...but couldn't because I got "no operation can be performed on wireless network connection while it has its media disconnected:
4. Got a "device is working properly" from device manager

AllisonNC,
Check your Cisco AnyConnect VPN Virtual Miniport Adapter for Windows x64, it states Hardware NOT Present.
McAfee has been known to sometimes cause problems. Usually if it does, the person removes McAfee using the McAfee Removal Tool then restart the computer. Then if they can connect, reinstall McAfee.
Go to Drivers & Downloads enter your service tag number, then select your operating system. Under Network, download and install the latest drivers.
Try these tweaks....
Start, control panel, device manager. Click on Network and then right click on your network adapter, left click properties, power management. Uncheck the box, allow computer to turn off this device to save power.
Go to the power options, and changed the Wireless Adapter Setting, from Maximum Power Setting to Maximum Performance.
