Cannot locate printer on wireless laptop

Desktop - Windows XE Professional has DSL and 2 printers

Just got laptop - Windows XE Home with Router

I set up home network, and internet connections are successful on both computers.  On the desktop, I set the printers to "share".  But when I go to set up printer on the laptop using the wizard, no list of printers appears.  What am I doing wrong?

First make sure that the Windows XP firewall is not enabled on any of the XP computers.   The XP firewall will prevent all file and printer sharing.  Also make sure file and printer sharing is enabled. Once this is done, Windows XP will usually find the network printers after a few minutes and install the proper drivers.  You should have to do nothing.
