Bluetooth tethering question

I am trying to use my Galaxy S7 as a hotspot for my Dell XPS L1702x which is equipped with Bluetooth. on the phone, I enabled the tethering over Bluetooth and turned the Bluetooth on. I can see the name of the laptop in the Bluetooth list on the phone. I can also see the phone in the list of Bluetooth devices on the computer. it says paired underneath the item.

I still can't use the tethering. What kind of setting am I missing? If anyone has a step by step on how to do this I would be glad to look at it.

Thank you for your message.

Have you checked the internet connection from the source?

Please try connecting to a USB or WAN tethering & check if that works.

What is the present OS installed?

Jangar59, did you get a solution to your tethering issue to your Galaxy S7? I have the exact same problem, except I am trying to tether my S7 to a Dell Inspiron 7586.
