Bluetooth error code 54 on an XPS 15 9510 can indicate a problem with the Bluetooth driver or hardware. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

  1. Restart your computer: Sometimes, a simple restart can fix the problem.

  2. Update Bluetooth drivers: Go to the device manager and right-click on the Bluetooth device. Choose "Update driver" and select the option to search automatically for updated driver software.

  3. Reinstall Bluetooth drivers: If updating the driver doesn't work, try uninstalling the Bluetooth device and reinstalling it. Right-click on the Bluetooth device in the device manager and select "Uninstall device." Then restart your computer and the driver will be reinstalled automatically.

  4. Check Bluetooth hardware: If the above steps don't work, there may be an issue with the Bluetooth hardware itself. You can check this by opening up the computer and checking the Bluetooth module's connections or contacting the manufacturer for support.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be best to contact the manufacturer or a professional technician for further assistance.

Try deleteing "Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI)" in Device Manager and then restart

This worked for me.

Did you get any proper solution? Every solution mentioned in this thread suggests "Restart the PC" at the end. Restarting the PC solves the issue even if I do not mess around with the drivers. Tried everything with drivers.

Restarting the PC every time is just so frustrating.

Windows has a built-in troubleshooter for Bluetooth. Go to "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Troubleshoot" > "Additional troubleshooters," and then select "Bluetooth" to run the troubleshooter.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulties with your Bluetooth on your XPS 15 9510. Bluetooth connectivity issues can be frustrating, but there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
1. Check Bluetooth settings: Ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on your device. You can usually find this in the system settings or the taskbar/notification area. Make sure it's turned on.
2. Update drivers: Visit the Dell support website and check for any available driver updates for your XPS 15 9510. Specifically, look for Bluetooth or wireless driver updates. Download and install any updates that are available.
3. Restart Bluetooth services: Open the "Services" application on your computer (press Win + R, then type "services.msc" and hit Enter). Look for services related to Bluetooth (e.g., Bluetooth Support Service). Right-click on each relevant service, select "Restart," and see if that helps.
4. Remove and re-pair devices: If you're having trouble connecting to a specific Bluetooth device, try removing it from your list of paired devices and then re-pairing it. This can help establish a fresh connection.
5. Clean boot: Perform a clean boot to identify and disable any conflicting programs or services that might be interfering with Bluetooth. Instructions for performing a clean boot can be found on the Microsoft support website.
6. Contact Dell Support: If the issue persists after trying these steps, it's recommended to reach out to Dell Support for further assistance. They can provide specific guidance and troubleshooting tailored to your device and its configuration.

I have exact same model and problem. Reboot always stops the problem temporarily but I've never been able to get a permanent fix for the past year. It happens once every day or so. I do still think it's a driver problem and I've been using Intel's newest wireless bluetooth driver. Perhaps I need to rollback to stock drivers and see if that works?
