Switch 3048 SPF compo vs SPF+ port uses

Here is a picture of the front of device right side. Here there are 2 SPF compos (47 and 48)  and next are 2 x SPF+

I honestly need help . I am not sure what is the difference of these ports. BOth are optical ports.  COMBOS  ports, I assume is just a fiber channel alternative for port 47 and 48 respectively.

But I do not understand what is the use of the  2 right side SPF+ units.  Currently, this line receives the internet data from the gateway.  But not sure why there are 2 options.

Also, I want to learn if there is an option for stacking 2 N3048 units using the SPF ports.

Hello bosskeeper,

Thank you for choosing Dell. I've checked the User Guide to find a answer for you, and would like to share information, I've found:

-The Dell EMC Networking N3000/N3000E-ON Series switches have two fixed mini-SAS stacking connectors at the rear panel:

https://dell.to/3Fhj4kM p.157

-The N3048/N3048P support two SFP+ 10G ports.

The front-panel switch ports have the following characteristics:

-SFP ports support Dell-qualified transceivers.

- SFP+ ports support SFP+ transceivers and SFP+ copper twin-ax technology plus SFP transceivers operating at 1G.

https://dell.to/3GgdrVq p.24

-The SFP+ 10G ports support SFP+ transceivers or SFP transceivers, but not both types simultaneously. Use either all SFP+ transceivers or all SFP transceivers.

-Combo Ports

Combo ports automatically select the active media and always choose fiber (SFP) media if both copper and fiber are active. Copper combo ports do not support 10 Mbps forced mode. Auto-negotiation is not supported for 100BASE-X (FX/SX/LX) transceivers. If using the 1000BASE-T port, remove any transceivers from the SFP port.

I also found information, that Dell EMC Networking N4000 Series switches stack with other Dell EMC

Networking N4000 Series switches over front-panel ports configured for stacking.
