Need Help Finding Firmware Update for DELL M8428-K Switch

Hello everyone,

I'm reaching out to this community in hopes of finding assistance with a rather specific issue I'm facing. I have a DELL M8428-K switch that's currently running Fabric OS version 6.3.1_dcb5. I'm looking to upgrade this to version 6.4.3_dcb4 to take advantage of some of the newer features and improvements.

However, I've hit a roadblock in trying to locate the firmware. Searching through DELL's official resources hasn't yielded any results, and what complicates matters more is that this particular model doesn't seem to be listed or recognized by Broadcom, making it even more challenging to find the appropriate firmware. Attempts to use the switch's serial number for identification or support from Broadcom have been unsuccessful as well.

I was wondering if anyone here has encountered a similar situation or might have insights on where I could find the firmware upgrade I need. Any guidance, links, or suggestions on how to proceed would be immensely appreciated. I understand the complexities involved with older or less common hardware, but I'm hoping there's a way to safely update my switch without running into compatibility or support issues.

Thank you in advance for any help or advice you can provide. It's a bit of a long shot, but I'm hoping someone might have a lead or can offer a workaround for this situation.

Hello, While the M8024-K is indeed a switch it is a Brocade switch that is handled by the storage team. Dell Networking doesn't have  access to Brocade Switch firmware.
I think you would have better luck re-posting this in the Storage community.
