MXL 10/40GbE blade switch - What is the latest firmware, and where can I get it?

Hi Guys,

I logged into the Force 10 support site today, and found it virtually useless.  Where can I get my support, documents, and firmware for my MXL switches these days?

The number is actually: 800-945-3355 for Force10.

Apparently my sales guy forgot to add the M-Sereis switches to my Force10 support site profile.  This is unfortunate because it has been over a year since I purchased the 2nd stack of these and he never even added it the first time.  If the support guy I just talked to cannot get the job done I am going to have to hunt down that sales guy and hound him into doing this.

I could be that I am just being thick here, but I followed your link, and I don't see any firmware listed there.  Only a search box which offers some Dell Lasso tool for Windows.  What am I missing?

Where is he getting his information?

Are you entering the service tag? Force10 switches require service tag or account verification for updates. If it still is not showing up with the service tag you may have to use the Force10 site with the account that has the switches registered.

Thanks Josh.

I have added my service tags, and still there is no mention of the FTOS on this support site.  I believe I am going to have to open an actual support incident to get any invformation.  Oh the needless tedium of it all.

This is getting truly frustrating now.  The Force10 MXL switch is the cutting edge blade interconnect and costs about 11K per machine and I have 4 of these.   I cannot find support even with the service tag, and the website gives me this numberL:

Technical Support
800-288-4410

24/7

Support for issues covered under warranty.

When I call it I get the Dell music and the Dell Out of Warranty repair department.  What is going on here?  Are they going to end of life the whole Force10 division?  Has Dell outsourced again, but this time to robots?  And who is controlling the robots.  Ahh I got through to India, and they are transferring the call.  This really could hardly be more confusing.

Nhia over at Force10 handled this for me, and now I can get all of the M-class stuff I need.
