I want to know the meaning of the temperature related log of S3048-ON

Hello
I checked the log below on the switch.

%STKUNIT1-M:CP %CHMGR-4-TEMP_STATUS_CHANGE: Unit 1 temperature state changed to 1 (Current temperature 40C).
%STKUNIT1-M:CP %CHMGR-4-TEMP_STATUS_CHANGE: Unit 1 temperature state changed to 2 (Current temperature 45C).

I know the switch temperature is 40C, 45C, but I don't understand the part painted in red

It says unit1 changed to 1 and unit1 changed to 2, what do 1 and 2 mean?

If I check the guide, I only see a command to check the equipment temperature along with a "show environments all" command.

The S3048-ON switch must operate between 0° and 45°C. Is it log related?

Hi @dell_sss,

Unfortunately, the log for temperature sensor status is not documented. I had done a few research on the ones you highlighted in red. Here's my opinion, the Unit X temperature state changed to Y; where Y is not related to Unit X.

Y, only denotes the sensor temperature range. For example, Y=1 is ranging of 40C to 44C, 2 is ranging 45C to 50C.

Attached the operating temperature of S3048-ON: https://dell.to/3wvt8WL
