Connecting 2 switches with SFP+ fiber issues
Hello everyone,
I am trying to connect 2 switches via their SFP+ with a module via fiber (multimode full duplex om3)
Fiber has been ran between the 2 units.
The switch in my server room is a stack of 2 Dell N3048. The other switch is a N1524P.
I've set both Fiber port as trunk port to allow vlan traffic but it does not work. I've checked on the stack and stats look fine.
I've tried linking the switch via RJ45 to a trunk RJ45 port and that works
Since I am working remotely, next week I can post pictures of the other switch config for you to review...
I am using these SFP+ modules: Axiom 407-BBOU-AX
SFP modules
Help I am lost
Thank you

Hi,
It looks like are working from a physical level, can you try setting them as access ports and see if they can communicate? It might be something in the port settings.

Hello Josh,
I setted the 2 SFP+ as access port on a completely new vlan on both switches (vlan13). Gave each one of them a different IP adresss (101.10.1.1 and 101.10.1.2) and simply tried to make them ping each other without any success... Now for troubleshooting purpose, both switch are physically beside each other and linked together via a fiber patch in their SFP+ ports and link is up between them... Still If I plug into switch 1 on a access port on vlan 13 I can ping the switch I am plugged in but not the distant one... Same thing for switch 2.
Please help!
Thanks

Thanks, You have software support on these, so you could call in and they should assist you.
Is ip routing enabled on the switches?
