2724 : User name or Password is missing error
Hi,
I've got a new 2724 on which I've just pressed the button to enable the managed mode. So far, so good. I can ping 192.168.2.1 and get the web page, great. But...
When I follow the docs and enter "admin" as the user name and leave the password field empty, I get a page with "User name or Password is missing". I've tried with Firefox 1.5, mozilla (which the docs said is supported), then even bothered a Windows user, but the same also happens with IE.
The only strange thing I can see is that as soon as I click the "OK" button that executes some javascript, the "Password" field gets instantly filled with asterisks, which might or not be normal, I don't know.
Has anyone got an idea about what the problem might be?
Matthias

I have not had this problem but some other people have reported similar issues and some users suggested that if you disable "virus checker / script checker / security suites / etc" it might help. Also, perhaps some script checker is blocking java script or maybe you have some application that is automatically filling out your login dialog that could cause it. Another suggestion on the forum is to delete all your browser cache which may have cached earlier password.
