Recover NDMP long time
Hi All,
I would like to recovery from NAS (NDMP) which it has completed but it used time to long (data 30GB, used 6 hrs).
Why it used to long?.
PS: Networker 7.2.1 on SUN Sparc

1) did you backup with a DIRECT=y option? If you backup in a non-DAR fashion, you'll restore in a non-DAR mode, and the recover takes a time depending on how big is the SSID.
2) did you recover with nsrndmp_recover -S manual command? If yes, this is a non-DAR recover and even if you have to recover only 2 bytes in a 2TB SSID it will take a really long time ( the recover reads all the SSID up to its end )

I don't know about on this problem after that to 2-3 days ago. It can recovery into normally.

Another Question:
The NetWorker, Could it not support relocate recovery on NDMP?.

It does support that.
