@Brahmaiah E ! have you tried configuring it with the help of the NMDA admin guide. If not please give it a try its pretty straight forward and in case you encounter any errors do let us know.

Assuming you actually have a support contract and access to the Dell support site the NW Simple Support Matrices are located on:

exactly as it states there, use the nsraadmin command to add the password to the DB2_CFG config file, which then will add the password as encrypted to the file. Did you actually run the command, as It will prompt for the password to be used. Then you will see it in encrypted form in the config file to be used by the backup configuration.

We prefer not to use the NW client wizard to create any NW module backups as we want to have the backup config files completely on NW client instead of being part of the NW client config on the NW server. Due to backup admins configuring the backups, we don't want to have/get/maintain any credentials. Hence any required config files should exist and be created on the client itself.

But that depends on what is agreed and what procedures and responsibilities are agreed upon., which for us results in not using the NW client wizards...

Hi Team,

  Can anyone help on this

July 31st, 2023 13:00

did you actually run the nsrdaadmin command as I already recommended to do? What is it that you are having issues with?

You are not giving us anything to go by, so actually running it as the guide states pointing it to the config file that you would have needed to setup (assuming you are only in need to know how to add the password as that is what you asked about)? Did you also have a look at the nsrdaadmin man page or looking at the flags that can be used?
