U2724D, MacBook Pro M1, Logitech Webcam not shown

I just bought a Dell Monitor (U2724D) for use with my Macbook Pro (M1). I have a logitech webcam (USB) that I'd like to be able to plug into the monitor use it. I'd like to avoid having to use one of those adapter things to plug it into my computer bc im trying to reduce number of wires.

This is the webcam I have: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07K986YLL?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I am using this display port to connect from monitor to the mac: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C4DB8MLL?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

I am using the USB to USBC cable that came with monitor to charge my laptop.

I've tried plugging in my logitech camera into every USB port in the monitor but my video apps won't detect it. Am I doing something wrong?

I have an HDMI cable if I need to switch to that.

You will need to connect upstream port #7 to your laptop.  Then, connecting the webcam to port #8 or #10.
