U2723QE, switch between Macbook and Windows in dual monitor

I have a Macbook M1 Pro for work and own a Windows PC at home.

I currently use DP daisy chaining for my Windows PC which works fine. For my mac it mirrors the 2 Dells instead of extending, which is because Mac doesn't want to support proper daisy chaining if not done over Thunderbolt...

That being said now comes the question:

I want to keep using the windows pc via daisy chain DP, but for Mac I will buy another USB-C to USB-C cable for the second monitor. If I plug that in and then switch between my input sources, will the daisy chain automatically get overwritten for my Macbook because it has a USB-C source for both, or do I need to disable MST everytime I want to use my Macbook via the dual USB-c Config?
