U2719D, DisplayPort out?
Hi,
I got U2719D as a gift so I want to use it for my PC and for my laptop with both DisplayPort.
But when I check, the DisplayPort contain DP in and DP out, but where is DP out is to connect the monitor to other monitors via a daisy chain?
Can I confirm that I can use both DP as source input from PC and Laptop to the monitor?
I am not that knowledgeable regarding this, so I haven't connected both PC and Laptop to monitor since I'm scared I will break it.

@Valde08 You won't break anything, but the DP out port is an output, not an input, so you can't use the DP output as an input from a source PC. If you ever wanted to create a daisy chain, you'd do it according to the diagram that Chris posted. If you want to connect multiple source systems, you'll need to use a different combination of ports.

Here you can find the online U2719D manuals. Open the online User's Guide to page 9.
2 = HDMI in port
3 = DP in port
4 = DP out port
Page 28 discusses the usage of DP MST daisy chaining =
Page 41 shows the Menu- Display- MST setting. Change this to On when using the U2719D as the Primary in a DP MST daisy chain =

Hi @jphughan , thanks for the answer. I only have one monitor for now, so planning to use it for both PC and Laptop
So I have to use the HDMI port as the input source from my laptop. Got it.
Thank you so much

@DELL-Chris M yes, I have read that, but I was thinking to use multiple source to one Monitor.
I think it's been answered by @jphughan
Thank you so much
