P2319H, no sound in built-in speakers

Hello. I have recently bought a PH2319H monitor, which (according to the vendor Amazon) is supposed to have built-in speakers. In fact, when connected to the laptop, the sound icon in the system tray switches to "DELL P2319H (High Definition Audio Device)". The sound, however, isn't there at all. I've tried up to three different HDMI cables, but it just doesn't work. I've also tried installing the monitor drivers.

When I switch the sound configuration to the laptop's speaker, they work just fine.

Is there something I can do to make the speakers in the monitor work?

I'm starting to worry that the information provided by the vendor regarding the presence of built-in speakers might be wrong.

@Rifeel  If you check the Dell P2319H manual here, you will find that it does not have built-in speakers. I'm not aware of any P Series or U Series displays that do. Some U Series displays have a 3.5 mm audio output jack so that you can send audio to the display for passthrough to external speakers, but the P2319H doesn't have that either. I'm not sure why the display is presenting itself as an audio output device in that case, unless maybe you wrote the wrong model? Or maybe your laptop always shows HDMI displays as potential audio output targets?

It is the P2319H.

It seems the information provided by the vendor was wrong. Now I feel a bit stupid...

Thank you anyway.
