Weird Boot Problems

Hello!

Recently, my laptop has been having some issues in the booting process. Whenever it tries to boot, it the power led will come on for a few seconds, then flicker off. During this time, the screen shows no signs of power.

However, if i run the display test by holding D and the power button, the screen will perform the test. Afterwards, it will attempt to boot. It turns on and off about 3-4 times, then finally boots to the diagnostic screen. Here it says something like "system time is not set, please run setup program."

From here I'm able to boot normally, and everything functions fine.

Any idea what's causing this and how to fix it?

When it is difficult to start the machine, first determine how long the machine has been bought. If it is more than 2 years old, you can consider CMOS batteries. Excluding this aspect will also reduce the cost.

@niko_ke I did open the back and look for the CMOS, but It wasn't visible. I couldn't find a video showing where its at either.

@ Axious87 Some machines are powered by the main battery. It is recommended to observe the pattern of the indicator light flashing. It may provide corresponding error messages.
