Open Smart Card Reader Slot
Received my Dell Latitude 9520 2 in 1 laptop. My laptop did not come with a Smart Card reader, but there is an open slot on the left side of the laptop. No Smart Card reader hardware, just an open slot.
Does Dell have an insert to plug this slot?
What kind of outfit is Dell, to send out a laptop with an open slot for dust or debris to enter?

Please share the order number & name used for verification reasons. I'll have this checked.
I also did check the model & see that the smart card reader is optional.

The smart card reader was not included in this order.
The laptop should not have come with a card slot or the slot should have been properly covered.

I get your point & in orders where the card reader is optional there is a dummy card holder/cover which is provided but I'm not sure if it was missing from the order or it was not included in it.
Ideally, these parts are not available elsewhere. You can try to cover the slot with some paper.
