Latitude 7450 doesnt pair with microphone of wireless headset
I have a dell latitude business computer and cannot get it to pair with microphone of my Sony wireless headset. The same headset pairs perfectly with my phone and other manufacturers laptops but the Dell dos not recognise it as an input device (microphone), no matter how many times I try to install it. This is a specific Dell issue and really annoying, I travel for work and will have to bring a second wired headset.

If you're having trouble pairing your Sony wireless headset with your Dell Latitude, you can try the following:
Check Bluetooth settings: Make sure Bluetooth is turned on and that your computer is discoverable. You can also check the Allow Bluetooth devices to find this PC option.
Check microphone access: In Windows, make sure microphone access is turned on for the apps you're using.
Unpair and repair Bluetooth devices: You can unpair a Bluetooth device by pressing the Windows key and q, typing "bluetooth", selecting Bluetooth and other devices settings, and then removing the device.
Check audio ports: Make sure the audio ports aren't damaged and clean them if needed.
Check the microphone connection: If you're using an external microphone, check the connection.
Change the default recording device: You can change the default recording device in Windows 10 or Windows 11 by going to Start, then Settings, then System, then Sound, and then selecting the audio device you want to use.
Put the headphones in pairing mode: For some Sony headphones, you need to press and hold the power button for seven seconds to put them in pairing mode.
To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them. Click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offering.

@DELL-Jesse L
Thought I'd get an anwer like that. I've done everything your help desk suggests my headset works perfectly with other manufacturers laptops and also with my Android phone. Headset pairs with Dell but only as an output device, nothing I do can make the Dell see the input device (microphone). Hardwired connections work fine. Laptop is new. This seems to be a known issue that Dell dont seem to be able to fix. I am not the only person on this forum with the same issue.
