Max RAM is 2X4=8G.  That said, DDR2 memory is obsolete and 8G of it new will likely set you back over $80 -- or about 4X what the system is worth.

Any 2.5" 9.5 mm or slimmer SATA drive of any capacity you choose should work fine.

Welcome to the Dell Community @chaulala

If you run a 32bit OS your max memory would be 4GB.

If you run a 64bit OS your max memory would be 5.83GB.

You can install ( 2x4GB ) 8GB but the CPU and chipset limits it to 5.83GB Available Physical Memory.

Best regards,

@chaulala

If you get 2 x 2GB on eBay, the RAM will cost about $15.

If you get 2 x 4GB on eBay, the RAM will cost about $80.

@chaulala

Updated the BIOS to A17 and W10 OS Available Physical Memory is now 6.49GB.

Still can't update the BIOS to A19???

Will keep trying and see if it makes a difference.
