How can I know match the laptop charger to the laptop with a unique number?
I have a dell latitude 5400, and recently my charger was missing after lending it to a friend. Now he claims that is his charger.
How can I know if it is my charger by being able to match it with the laptop?
We both have the same Dell Laptop

Follow these steps to find a part number:
1. Navigate to the Support Page on the Dell website.
2. Enter your laptop's Service Tag in the designated field or click on 'View this PC.'
3. Once the system is identified, proceed to click on 'Explore Product Support.'
4. On the following page, locate 'View Product Specs' under the Quick Links section situated on the right side of the screen.
5. Within the 'System Configuration' section, you will find a comprehensive list of all the part numbers associated with your product."
6. If you're looking for your charger part, simply search for the word 'adapter' and you'll be able to locate the part number.

Dell does not link a specific laptop with a specific AC adapter.
You will need to buy one if your "friend" stole yours.

No they do. I have already gotten clarity for my concern from the Customer Support team and Yey, the charger is mine!
You can get in touch with the Customer Support team with your Laptop Service tag number and the 20 digit barcode behind the charger and they are able to tell you if it is the original charger tagged to your device.
Excellent Customer Support from Dell team and they reply to you in no time.

I got my charger exchanged for inspiron and as mentioned in community support i try to check identification number but my friend also have same model of the laptop and they show same part number what can i do?
