E270 - better NIC card?

Latitude E7240

My home connection was upgraded to Fibre and now has a WiFi Router.

The E7240  will not connect to router if it is in WiFi 6 mode or Wifi 6 compatibility mode.

It will connect is I set Router to WiFi 5  ... which I don't want to do as it will impact all other devices.

Is there a newer NIC card than the Intel Dual Band -AC 7260 that will support WiFi 6 connection .... don't mind if its only 802.11ac  as long as it will connect to WiFi6 router.

All my other devices have connected with no issue.

There are Wifi 6 cards that will work in that system, but not from Intel -- all of Intel's cards are M.2 (NGFF), which won't work with your system.  You need the older half mini-PCIe card.

One example:

The other option would be a USB wifi adapter.
