Dell Latitude 5420 Microphone Array is not working

I'm having problems with the Microphone Array not picking up sounds.. its detected any working just fine and no error or anything, i tested the input and nothing, i tapped on the microphone and it does not even pick up, I'm thinking hardware failure. The camera works just fine but just can't get the microphone to work. I'm running out of ideas, only thing i can think of is to take the screen apart and replace the microphone board.
