Black horizontal line suddenly came on my laptop

Hello, hope so everyone is doing great. Today I faced a problem related to the screen. my laptop was working fully fine. i turned it off and after a little while, I came to open it. when I turn the laptop on I saw a little black horizontal line on the screen top right. For a little while I ignored it but when I turned it off and then I turned it on it was a little longer than before. Please help me, Thanks. My laptop model is Dell latitude E5540. i don't know what to do and what is the reason because I didn't hit it with anything or anything because of which screen can be damaged.

@mrkhan123

That looks like LCD bleeding.

When you go into the BIOS does it show there???

Hold down the "D" key, push the power button, release the power button, wait 2-3 seconds and release the "D" key

The laptop should go through an LCD test of solid White, Red, Green, Blue and Black 2 or 3 times.

Does it show during the test???

Regards,

U2

I ran the test and the black horizontal line was still present while the color was changing in background. Can you please tell me what was the reason and now what to do?

@mrkhan123

Sorry to say but that is a defective LCD display.

You can search your Service Tag to find the original configuration and display part number.
