wireless card not working

This may happen because of the following resons:

• wireless adapter is switched off.(PressFn + F2 on the keyboard to enable the wireless adapter)
• wireless driver is not installed.

I would recommend you to first check in the device manager if the wireless driver is installed.Please follow the steps below.

• Click on Start> Right click on Computer>Click on Properties> click on Device manager.
• Check under Network adapters if the wireless driver is installed.
• If it is not installed check under Other Devices for network controller.
• If the wireless driver is available under Network adapters, try pressing Fn and F2 together to enable the wireless adapter.
• If it is available under other devices, you will need to install the wireless driver from the following link.http://dell.to/Od8W2E
• Click on the above link, choose the operating system you are using on the system, under the network tab you will find there are three wireless drivers, according to the wireless card installed on your system,install the correct driver.
• Once this is installed,on the bottom right side of the screen , check whether it is recognising your wireless network,click on it,click on connect, it may ask you for a wireless security key,type in the security key from the router.

well i installed vista first is this wrong ? if so how do i go about un-installing vista so i can try this in the correct order??
