Wifi Adapter not found and cannot connect on my dell latitude e6400
I am not able to connect through wifi on my dell latitude e6400, it was working and then all of a sudden it stopped working. I replaced the wifi adapter, but still not being identified and showing up so maybe it was not a bad wifi adapter as originally thought. In any case, the adapter is not showing up in my device manager...any thoughts?

Hi Bayman48,
The best thing here is to check in BIOS if the wireless device is enabled or disabled.
To enter the BIOS screen, Switch on the computer, tap F2 at dell logo to enter BIOS screen.
Try these steps and reply for further help.

Bayman48,
It's not listed there, either.
Shutdown the computer and unplug it from the wall. Remove the battery(if laptop) Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
Reseat the wireless adapter, then start the computer and see if it show, even with a yellow bang in the device manager. If it shows, then install the drivers. If it doesn't show, it may have failed.

Bayman48,
If you recently installed/reinstalled the opeating system, it could be missing. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order Not installing the notebook/desktop system utility(if applicable) and the chipset drivers first will cause all the other drivers to fail.
Did you follow the installation procedure recommended by the manufacturer?

I have not recently installed, reinstalled...it just sort of started to act up within the last week, so that is not my problem and i also reloaded the intel driver for the wifi adapter...so i took care of that step as well....any other ideas?
