Water spilled on Keyboard. Won't turn on?
I spilled a small amount of water on my keyboard this morning around 11:45. I dried it off with a towel but I wasn't worried since it didn't turn off. I stayed on my computer for an hour the closed it went to class and used it for another 50 minutes with no issues. Around 3:25 I opened my laptop and it wouldn't turn, the screen stayed black and none of the lights came on so I took out the battery and it still wouldn't turn on when I put it back in I left my battery out and am letting it dry. Will it still work?

Remove the keyboard and check underneath for liquid - make sure it's thoroughly dry before applying power. Your luck may hold and the system may power up -- but the odds are the damage is done and the mainboard is toast.

When the LED on the adapter goes out upon connection to the system, the system board is bad and will need to be replaced.
