undo Bios Upgrade

Have a Dell Inspiron 2650 laptop, and upgraded the bios. after i di it. i had to format the hard drive. now it will not let me reinstall windows Xp. can i take it back to the old bios....

The direct answer to your question is yes, you can downgrade the BIOS.

But the BIOS should not "prevent" you from installing Windows.

I believe that you have a different issue.

What message(s) do you get when you try to install Windows?

Can you describe what events are taking place when you try to install Wndows?

stops loading disk at 34 mins. and i have tryed everything i can think about. i disabled all the input/output (bios) restarted the computer 100 times. this all started after i upgraded the bios. if there is a way . PLEASE tell me..(Going Nut's)

34 minutes thats installing hardware, remove any USB devices or anything plugged into the computers ports, (except for power cable)
