Touchpad is semi-frozen

I haven't used my Dell 15 in a month. I charged it, and while charging, the touchpad didn't exactly work. I move the cursor over a tab to close it and nothing happened. Tried tapping to check boxes or click submit but nothing happened. I'd have to push the bottom right corner of the touchpad to do anything. I remember changing settings so my cursor was darker but that's it. Now my touchpad is snafu. Usually I use a pen mouse but the battery died. I need my touchpad to work! Is there a setting I may have reset wrong to kill my touchpad? Oh, the up/down/eft/right cursor keys don't work either so I can't scroll through a page. I have to use the lower right corner of the touchpad and click.

Hi Dell14z,

Thanks for writing to us.

Please let us know the actual model number of your machine. PM us the tag# by clicking on my name in blue and select send a private message.

If you can arrange for an external keyboard , please update the touchpad drivers and let us know how it goes.

could be a driver corruption or hardware issue.

Await your response.

Dell 15 is all I know without looking at it. I'm disabled so can't get to it until tomorrow. Then I'll message you. I can't get an external keyboard but can move around and click with the lower right corner of the touchpad . I can download and install software.

All set, thanks. Upgraded drivers seemed to have solved the problem
