Subject: XPS 15
I have a xps15 that I bought at a second hand store, it had no hdd. I installed a 750gb drive in which I havenot been able to install windows 7 ultimate, the original OS
Any help with partitions, drivers, ect would b greatly appreciated

You'll need to explain what happens when you try -- no one can offer much help based on what you've posted.
Is the drive recognized? Does Windows start to install? What happens thereafter? Which XPS 15 is it? L501x/L502x/522/etc?
Are there any pre-existing passwords on the system you don't have?

It's a l501x. When trying to install from USB it make it to the instal windows 7 screen then it says "A required cd/DVD drive device driver is missing. I don't think there are any passwords other than the one I put on it, because it will load windows 10. Problem is the l501x is not supported by windows 10

You can usually get past this if you disconnect and reconnect the install media (without exiting the install routine).
Though Dell doesn't support Windows 10, it will work just fine on this model.

Good news, it worked. I think I have managed to load all drivers except (unknown device) its hardware Ids value is (ACPI\SMO8800)
