SD Card slot on Latitude not working properly

I performed the Windows 7 upgrade that I received from Dell as instructed.  Everything went fairly well.  I recently discovered that the SD Card reader does not recognize the any of the cards I try to use.  I always get a message that they need to be formatted.  However, if I use a USB card reader, it recognizes them just fine.  The cards all worked in Vista.  Anyone else had this problem?  Is it a driver issue or something else?
