screen has white bar on the right side. Screen UNaligned
Hello
My computer screen has a white column at the far right. it's about maybe 3% of the total horizontal screen.
It's there when I boot up the pc, its there as it's shutting down. During windows.
I've tried updating drivers. Changing settings, going into bios. It seems like a hardware issue.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Hi makugx,
Please reply us with the snapshot of the LCD screen so that we can check and assist you further.
Also, we will have to perform the ‘LCD BIST’ (Built in Self-test) on the computer. Please follow the steps mentioned below to run the “LCD BIST’.
In addition, please connect the system to an external monitor and check if the issue reoccurs.

That's not it.
You didn't understand. This has nothing to do with the issue. I'll post this picture so you understand.
It seems to be a hardware issue. Hopefully it isnt.
This picture displays what I'm talking about. And don't worry if the screen in general looks wierd. Its just the picture. The RIGHT SIDE of the screen is our concern.
Thank you

Are you serious?
Do you not read what's written here? do you just copy paste your answers?
I did that, and it didn't give any reuslts whatsoever cuz it has nothing to do with that.
When I do that, the bar still there through all the colors, white. it doesn't move.
Is there any real support on this site or it's all automated bots?

He is just having you do the "BIST" test to see if it is a hardware issue you have. If it is a hardware issue you have then the line will appear as it has throughout the test. Does it have the line on an external monitor when you plug it into that. If only on the LCD then you will need to replace the LCD. If on both then you have an issue with the graphics card.

That's a proper response.
Thank you.
This computer is old. It's not worth spending money on it.
