Replacement Card for N2330

I know this has been discussed ad nauseum, but I'm posting a new item because I can't find the info I need anywhere.  I have an Inspiron 15z 5323 laptop (great machine), but have to operate with Windows 7 because the Intel Centrino N 2230 network card is incompatible with Windows 10.  I would like to replace the N2230 with another card that is compatible with Windows 10.  BTW, I have a router that is compatible with bgn, but can also do AC.  What network card is available from Dell to replace the N2230.

Thanks.

N7110 is a Dell laptop model, not a WiFi card model to my knowledge.  If you have an HMW card currently, the best WiFi card in that form factor is the Intel 7260AC -- but make sure you get the HMW version since that card is also available in M.2/NGFF form factor, which uses model code NGW.  If your system in fact has an M.2/NGFF slot (check the thread I linked above, where I post a link to an Intel page that shows each card type side-by-side), then I'd recommend getting the newer Intel 8265 card instead.

Hi desertman,

Thanks for posting.

As you may already be aware, this system has not been tested for compatibility with Windows 10, so the drivers will not be there on the Dell support site.  Perhaps trying an external wifi dongle would be something to try.  They are very small and unobtrusive and would work with your system through USB.

Here are some recommendations from the internet:  http://del.ly/6596DDq3K

Do you have an Inspiron 15z 5523 or a 13z 5323?  There's no such thing as a 15z 5323.  But take a look at the info I provided in this very similar thread, which might be enough to help you determine which type of WiFi card your system accepts and therefore a suitable upgrade: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/t/20025119

Robert, you are correct, 15z 5523 (fat fingered) with an N2230 card.  Just to be sure, is the N7110 (HMW version) a direct replacement?  I haven't looked at the N2230 card yet, but I've had the laptop apart to change the battery, and found it pretty straightforward.  I would rather replace the card than connect via dongle.  Thanks for your quick answer.
