ram compatability
my laptop ram recently broke down and this will be the first time i replace ram on my own for a laptop. i just want to make sure that what i buy is compatible and will work for what i have.
current ram (2 sticks)-
capacity- 2gb
type- ddr3 (pc3-10700)
speed- 667mhz (ddr3 1333)
this information was based off of system information for windows tool.
from dell this is what i got-
MOD,DIMM,4GB,1333MHZ,DDR3,2X2G
Dual In-Line Memory Module,2GB1333MHZ,256X64,8K,200
what im looking to buy-

so is what im looking to buy going to be compatible with what i had?

What model system? How much RAM are you looking for, total?
ValueRAM is sketchy from a compatibility/quality standpoint - try crucial.com for higher-quality memory (and they guarantee compatibility).

what do you mean by model system?
i have 4gb ram total and im just looking to replace that. i can go up to 8gb but im not really interested in that.
and thanks for the tip ill get on crucial
update- i went on crucial and i think that this is what i need http://www.crucial.com/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=AC663C48A5CA7304
it appears to have all the same specs as my current ram except that it uses pc3-10600 instead of my current pc3-10700. is that going to be an issue?
