Put touchpad where numeric keypad is
The 17" notebooks have a numeric keypad on the right side of the keyboard. I never use keypads and would much prefer to have the touchpad there instead.
This would solve the horrible problem where the mouse cursor jumps around the screen when people accidentally touch the touchpad with their wrists while typing on the keyboard.
In addition, I think that most people instinctively reach to the right to use their mice, so it seems only natural that the touchpad would be on the right side instead of underneath the keyboard. In addition, I think that the touchpad would be easier to use, for example in a cramped airplane seat, if the touchpad was as high as the keyboard instead of needing to bend your arm down to the front of the notebook. (By the way, the volume controls should also not be on the front of the notebook for this same reason.) Thanks for considering.
