Processor/Fan continues to run even after turning off Laptop
I'm using Inspiron 15 3542
I have updated my OS to Windows 10, but sometimes the Processor/Fan won't stop even after Shutting down the laptop(as well as the display turns off) ! The fan continues and continues ! And after that laptop won't even turn on ! I have to open the battery and then it turns on !
I have downloaded almost all the software required for my laptop through dell software download for Windows 10 x64 bit.
P.S: I searched in google/checked forum, and the solution i found was to download Intel Management Engine. I did download and install it, but the problem seems to remain..
Kindly help you and thank you in advance !

Thank you for the post. When you noticed the problem, what means did you use to turn off the notebook, click the shut down button, or press the power button? When you noticed the fan running did pressing and holding down the power button do anything, it can take two or thee seconds? When the fan was running after you turned off the notebook was the LED on the front right of the notebook lit or dark? The reason I ask is so that I could get some idea if the system was actually shutting down or hanging during shutdown.
Please do let me know if the processor upgrade helps out.

Thank you TB
I Clicked on Power > Shut down (Windows 10)
After Window's is shut down, the fan still works until and unless i hold the power button for few minutes or open the battery.
& every other lights in keyboard gets turned off..
The problem was just the fan/processor keeps working !
P.S: I have found a solution for it, after searching in forum/Dell support..Downloaded the ' Application for Intel Haswell ME FW v9.5.55.1948 update' and it worked for me !
Thank you
