New hard drive, not sure what to do
I just received a new hard drive but I'm not sure what to do with it. Can I take it best buy for replacement or do I have to take it to a Dell authorized representative?

Warranty replacement? Or did you purchase the drive? System model?
It sounds like your system doesn't have onsite service - in which case you either install it yourself, or pay a shop, Best Buy, etc. to install it. If it's a warranty replacement, it should be pre-imaged with Windows and simply need installation.
On many models, that's easy to do but we can't assist without knowing which model system you have.

ejn63 is right on this, if you post the model we can send you a link to the Service Manual. But you're not required to get it serviced directly by Dell etc., forunately these drives are typically pretty easy to install.
Best regards,
