Network adapter not present in device manager

Hello,

I have a Dell LATITUDE E5510 and I am running Windows XP on it (originally, it had windows 7 installed on it).

Since a few weeks back the icon for wireless connections is not showing on the network connections window anymore. If i go to the device manager, I can also not find it. I can stil connect to the internet using a network cable through my normal ethernet port .

I have tried to use system restore tool of windows but had no success to go back to a configuration where my wireless works. I tried to install new drivers on this site but had no success.

In the BIOS menu, my wireless is enabled.

What other options do i have? Can anyone help me with this? What more information would you like me to give you?

Thanks,

Mathias Schmidt

Are there any devices in the Device Manager with an exclamation mark or with a red X?
